Once again the Phoenix Lunch has brought together businesswomen who care.  We are so pleased to announce that together we raised $2300 for PANDA.  Thanks and well done to all those involved!  Everyone who attended, bid at the silent auction and made donations contributed to the success of the latest Phoenix Lunch.  Without doubt an event like this cannot go ahead without the support of our sponsors, and we’d like to acknowledge them here –

Phoenix Lunch – Pampering Bargains and Prizes

Well it’s only 2 weeks till the final Phoenix Lunch for 2009!

Who’d have thought at the beginning of 2009 that we’d have run three great fundraising and networking lunches by the end of the year?

It just goes to show that public pressure CAN make things happen.

Well, we’d better bring you all up to speed, we’ve had some wonderful donations and are happy to help women in business PAMPER themselves in many ways!

For the first time we’ve had a business boy want to come and join us, but we must admit, he was most gracious when we said it was a girl’s event.  It seems he still loves businesswomen so much, he wanted to offer a prize!  Bravo Warwick Merry!

So ladies, do you want to know what’s up for auctions, door prizes and raffles?

Ok!  Here’s the tally so far.  We are still finalising others!  So it’s going to be a great opportunity to pick up some goodies for YOU!

That prize pool is approximately $4,000.

Our last Silent Auction resulted in some great bargains and win/win solutions. It’s definitely worth your TIME!  What’s more, the funds from the auction will all go to PANDA.

What happens at a Phoenix Lunch?

It’s a businesswomen’s Networking Lunch where we focus on making sure you meet new people, build your contacts, have lots of laughs and fun, and JUSTIFY it ALL by supporting an important but under-promoted charity with strong connections to women.

This Lunch is supporting the Post and Ante Natal Depression Association (PANDA).  We figured many of you would know friends or family, or even have had personal experience, of what it’s like to battle through the various degrees of Post-Natal Depression.  This is a topic very close to women’s hearts, we’ve discovered!  (Why not take our poll and see what we mean?  Results are available immediately.)

We’ll hear a speaker from PANDA tell us about their voluntary work supporting women suffering the isolating horrors of PND.  You’ll also be able to donate directly to PANDA as well.

How Much Does It Cost?

The price includes a two-course lunch (with two alternatives for each course), soft drinks, and tea and coffee.  Wines etc will be available at bar prices for those who wish.

SUPER Early Bird Price = $40/head  (Bookings for SUPER Early Bird Prices closed at 5pm on Monday 26th October.)

Early Bird Price = $45/head (Bookings for Early Bird Prices will closed on Friday 13th November.)

Standard Price = $55/head

Ok, well after so many of you have told us you love the way we work together to create these great lunches, we’ve decided to take our friendship and collaboration a step further, and  work together to deliver women more chances to feel great!

We’re currently finalising details (like finding a better name than the Three Little Networkers!  Any suggestions?).  And we will soon be launching our first event, a half day workshop entitled Keys to a Calmer Homelife.  With a professional organiser, a parenting coach and a relationship specialist, we figure our three specialties cover off most of the key stressors in women’s lives!

What’s that got to do with anything?

Well all SUPER Early Bird bookings went into a draw for a FREE CHANCE to attend Keys to a Calmer Homelife.  We offered 10 seats because we want our wonderful Phoenix supporters to get the chance to achieve more calm at home.

We’ll tell you more about our plans at the Phoenix Lunch!

It just goes to show that public pressure CAN make things happen.

When we Three Little Networkers first were inspired to have a lunch for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, it never entered our minds that this would become anything but a one-off event!

And here we are – launching Lunch #3.

(Note to selves: If we’re going to keep these going, then we probably should think about changing the name and stop continuing to allude to the fires with our lunch title.)

So thanks to the pressure of all you gorgeous ladies, who are absolutely convinced that we can’t let this successful program die off, we are having another Phoenix Lunch.

Hi …

… to all you wonderful businesswomen who supported the Phoenix Lunch & Red Cross Bushfire Appeal.

… to those of you who wanted to be there but couldn’t for whatever reason.

We have good news!

After the success of the last event, many of you asked for another.  And you were all so encouraging that we couldn’t resist!  We decided to do it again.  Though, this time we’ve given you (and us) more than a week to schedule it!  (To Book!)

A Different Charity

Our chosen charity for this event is Fitted For Work, which is an organisation that helps disadvantaged Victorian women prepare to return to the workforce.  One of their services is supplying women with clothing suitable for attending interviews.

Declutter Before You Come

Our Decluttering Expert, Angela Esnouf tells us “this is the ideal opportunity to clear space in your wardrobe and feel good at the same time.”

How?  Donate some of your least-used work clothes and accessories and re-gift them to help other women who are struggling to get on their feet.  (And we’ve all had times like that.)

We’ll have big boxes awaiting your donations on the day!  If you have already done your de-cluttering, we will be happy to help you make other donations to Fitted for Work.

Your feedback last time told us that the most successful part of the Phoenix Lunch was the networking.  Lots of alliances, and strong leads came from all of you chatting to each other.  So again, we’re focusing on networking opportunities as a big benefit for you.

You will be able to have promotional material on display during the lunch, which interested ladies can choose to take away.

Of course with a theme focusing on self-care for us as businesswomen, there will also be spot-prizes and a door-prize.

How can YOU help?

Apart from joining us on the day, we need 10 Sponsors!

If you can offer us a tangible gift from your products, or are prepared to invest in a product that could be offered as a prize at our June Phoenix Lunch, we’d love to hear from you.  For reasons that will become clear on the day, we need exactly 10 sponsors.

We’re looking for prizes that suit our theme of self-care for businesswomen and that encourage us to look after ourselves.  So we’d like individual items or hampers/gift baskets with things like books, wine, pamper packs, massages, day spas, hotel stays, movies, facials, pedicures etc etc etc.
